The New Moon Tea Ceremony with Shannon
Take some time this moon cycle to start anew. The new moon is an initiation, a time for seeding and cultivating your intention, clearing the way for our visions to unfold into reality. The dark side of the moon, with its mysterious, pure potential, offers a quiet space to find center. Plant the seeds of your intention and grow your roots.
With a globally-minded spirit, this ceremony will take inspiration from Eastern traditions found in Japanese Buddhist and Shinto temples, as well as the studies of the chakras. Every person finds inspiration in a different way, but our human connection is universal—this ceremony intends to connect you with a tradition that may be different than what you have experienced, but nevertheless may bring you closer to the space to plant your intention and manifest what you have been longing for. As with any ceremony, take what works for you in the moment, and leave whatever does not serve you.
We will welcome the new moon with a traditional tea ceremony, celebrating our intentions with a warm cup of nurturing herbal tea. This will be followed by setting intention for ourselves, then for others, and finally, letting something go, returning it to yogaia for renewal. The ceremony will end with a root chakra meditation, bringing mindfulness into the present moment, opening to receive what the heart has in store for us.
Join us on Thursday, July 12th at 9PM at Yogaia. Wear comfortable clothes, and if you have a favorite tea cup, you are welcome to bring that as well!
