It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's a Super Dog! We think our dogs our superheroes, and we’re betting you do, too! Come join us for our Superhero Pack Walk on Saturday, March 24th at 10 AM at Joe Creason Park. Dress your dog up like the hero that they are (or wear your very own cape) and come pack walk with a troupe of four-legged brave babies, soaring through Joe Creason Park, protecting us from danger! Costumes aren't required, but are encouraged!
Our pack walks are all-inclusive and all breeds of dogs and those with varying level of social skills are welcome. We encourage dog-owners to use our pack walks as a way to learn and grow as a dog handler, and just to get out and exercise with your pet and other dog owners.
We do ask that all attendees follow our basic rules of respect and proper dog social skills when attending our pack walks to ensure safety, fun and success for all parties.
Please remember the following when attending:
> Dogs in need of space from other dogs or humans should be wearing an ORANGE bandanna or leash that is easily visible to other attendees. If you are concerned about your dog's sociability level for attendance, please contact our behavior director, Julie, at [email protected]
> No retractable leashes, please, or leashes longer than 6 feet long.
> Always ask another dog handler before introducing your dog to their dog.
> For proper dog introductions to other dogs, avoid face-to-face introductions, please practice «nose to butt» greetings, which is more like a handshake for dogs, and how dogs truly get accustomed to one another.
> Always bring your own waste bags and be respectful of the parks and neighborhoods we'll be visiting.
> Our pack walks are always free of charge, however there will be times when we may ask for a donation of an item for our Community Dog Resource Center, which provides resources for pet owners in low income communities.
We will be meeting at the «mansion» at 10 AM and will begin the walk shortly after!
