Join presenting sponsor, the Highland Commerce Guild, on Fat Tuesday for a Mardi Gras celebration of Louisville's «Restaurant Row», featuring picks from the city's biggest collection of local, unique, and eclectic establishments on our beloved Bardstown Road and Baxter Ave. All to support Highlands Community Ministries, helping neighbors in need of food, emergency financial help, and quality-of-life programs.
Up to 20 establishments will be represented. Restaurants include Bristol Bar & Grille, Eat-a-Pita, Highland Morning, Jack Fry's, Joy Luck, Kashmir Indian, Mark's Feed Store, Morris Deli, The Eagle, Uptown Cafe, and Wiltshire Pantry with more to come. A bourbon experience by Maker's Mark and samplings from Old 502 Winery, Gravely Brewing, Ale-8-One and Safai Coffee and Tea round out the beverage selection.
Live Bourbon Jazz by the Billy Goat Strut Revue will fill the air with the sounds of New Orleans and inspire you to swing dance with instructors from Lindy Hop Louisville, providing free swing dance lessons. You'll enjoy a festival atmosphere in the Highlands bustling community center, the Highlands Community Campus, an antique former German church and building that prominently sits at the corner of the Original Highlands and Paristown Pointe Neighborhoods, and houses the main operations of Highlands Community Ministries.
Your all-inclusive ticket allows you to sample all of the savory tastes, spirits, and beverages offered. All guests must be at least 21 years of age. Tickets are also available for purchase using cash or check at the Safety and Security Store, 622 Baxter Ave., Louisville, KY, 40204, 502-587-8273. Proceeds from the event goto Highlands Community Ministries. All guests are requested to drink responsibly.
