Please join us for an introductory workshop led by Jaime Seelmeyer, yoga therapist! This workshop will introduce students to the practice of utilizing yoga for managing mood and reducing symptoms associated with anxiety. This workshop is absolutely beginner friendly!
We'll explore the basics of yoga for anxiety and mood, including physical postures and movement, breath work, mantra, meditation, relaxation techniques, and yogic philosophy. Various styles of yoga may be offered, including hatha, kundalini, vinyasa, gentle, yin, and restorative. Students can gain foundational skills for a daily practice, practical techniques for managing anxiety and mood in daily life, and greater confidence in utilizing yoga for mental wellness.
With continued practice, therapeutic yoga offers the student greater self-relaxation and self-calming skills, increased mind and body awareness, tools to boost energy and mood, increased self-compassion and acceptance, stronger confidence, mindfulness skills, and a deeper connection to the essential self.

About Jaime: Jaime is a local yoga student and teacher, reiki practitioner, psychotherapist, and healer. Jaime began her yoga practice as an outlet for stress and self-care while in graduate school. She quickly learned that the benefits of yoga reach far beyond stress-management, discovering an unparalleled form of healing and management of her own anxiety and depression through yoga, as well as a deep connection to self and beyond. Jaime is passionate about sharing the healing elements of yoga with her students as they find inner strength, harmony, and peace. Her classes emphasize body/mind alignment, breath, energetic awareness, and self-acceptance. Jaime received her 200-hour training at Yogaia Yoga School and studied Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan with Sierra Hollister. Jaime is the owner and lead instructor at Omology, a holistic mental wellness center.
