Calling All UofL Students!
Are you an LGBTQ+ identified or ally university student who would like to share your story? The Speak Out Team is the place for you! Speak Out panels exist to educate others and make real the experiences of LGBTQ+ people by speaking to faculty, staff, and our student peers. This training session will give you the opportunity to craft and practice your own personal story in an effective way and to discover best practices when answering challenging questions. Attending the training in no way obligates you to participate in a panel, so we encourage all students who want to know more about the program to attend — even if you're just curious!
Training is only held once a semester. Make plans to attend with us so you don't miss out on this opportunity!
NOTE: This training is geared towards helping LGBTQ+ and Ally students learn to share their stories as a tool for activism. Please no non-student community members — we want to keep the focus on our student's voices and respect their boundaries. Thank you!
