Louisville Grows is hosting a Permaculture Design Course taught by Rhonda Baird and Gabriel Hahn.
This course goes above and beyond the full permaculture design course as recognized by the Permaculture Institute of North America and the international community.
We will be gathering every day from 9-6 for a total of 12 days to engage in learning about permaculture design and the ethics and principles underlying good design. This will also take us through learning about ecological systems that span the globe and which are the foundation of a healthy planet. From there, we learn to assess and formulate good building design and retrofit. Understanding that ecosystems and buildings are only beautiful if the people in them are happy, we then explore positive models for social, economic, and community building.
Our aim is to blend theory into practice through story telling (about what has worked); active, practical work, games, and more.
The course culminates in design teams presenting their designs for local permaculture projects and the issuing of certificates.
Hosted by Louisville Grows. Recognized by PINA.
