After our industry night performance, we invite people to stay as we re-run the final three minutes of the play, leading into the much-demanded-then, and much-derided-now alternative ending that Ibsen wrote for a censorious German theatre. Following this, we will have a post-show discussion with members of the cast, and the director about the alternative end, the reasons it was written, and what it is like to try to play one of the most famous conclusions in theatre history with a “happy ending”.
The alternative ending will performed approximately 5m after the night’s show ends — admission is free to confirmed ticketholders for any performance during this run.
And don't forget, tickets for the full Industry night performance will be only $12, but are only available on the door on the night.
